'Bumpy' Policy v1.0

By sitting on my car, means you accepted the ‘Bumpy’ policy.
This 4x4 is a Suzuki Sierra 1.3L JX 1994 Model, named ‘Bumpy’ and it’s extremely bumpy!
Not long ago, Defoe discovered a way to heal itchy bump without scratching it!
Let me give you a ride, the ultimate bump massage experience!

Jump-in is always appreciated; don’t ask me to open door for you to get in.
No fat chicks!
Scream out ‘My driver is mad!’, ‘You are crazy!’ and etc…
Wear some warm clothes and a windbreaker.
Destination is NOT your choice, this is not taxi!
Silent one minute for my stolen lobster Hebe.
If you think my driving is not safe, you can either scream or tell me. But if you choose to tell me that you don’t feel safe, I am 100% sure I will drop you down in the middle of nowhere.
Please sing along the way, because my CD-Player was stolen.
Don’t follow me, I am lost too!

Churn to OzForces!

After 2 weeks without Internet at home, I decided to pay for 200 aussie dollars and kick UQconnect away!
Heard many good feedback from a broadband forum about OzForces.
Seems like this ISP understands what gamers need.
3~5 days away, and I will be up again!

Study for EXAMS!

I should have listening to friend's advice, study for exams.
The stats exam today was not easy.
Questions are new! More than half question type wasn't in the past exam papers.
I only read though the past papers and lecture slides.
Pretty sure I got the marks from question similar to the past, but I seems to have no other ways passing this subject without real study!
They really want us to practice hours and hours everyday!
Not good! but I won't fail.

Anyway, I will need to study for the next exam, Accounting! - the studies of how humans make simple records complicated -

Hot Pot Party Review

The Hot Pot Party was considered as a successful event - a rest before mid-sem exams and assignments.
Thanks for 14 of us coming and helping the event.
Guests include Aki, Alex, Angie, Charlin, Defoe, Gigi, Jay, Katie, Kenichi, Mayuko, Rith, Seiichi, Seiko and Yuko.
Photos will be uploaded on to my photo album in my personal website and links will be sent to everyone later.
Special thanks to Alex providing the Pot; Seiichi started preparing everything with us from 2:00 pm; Katie who made us the Baked Apples; and all the guys and girls who helped.

The hot pot was yummy.
Alex speech was interesting and impressive.
The game was... err... fun but not tasty!
Who mixed that punishment drink, I tasted milk, coke, soy sauce, jam, etc... in it, yuck!

I was exhaused but having a good time.
Shouldn't spend too much time on typing this rewiew, will catch you all up again after the mid-sems.
Good luck with exams and assignments!
May the udon be with you!

Event Management

Managing an event is not easy, you want to host a good party, all the input is the hard work.

Friday night I want to someone else party in Toowong, that party wasn't a success.
Guests stacked with their own circle, Japanese speak Japanese, Aussies were all staying in a room on another level of the very nice 2-story-townhouse.
The minor non-Jap guests getting embarrassed, like the NASA explorer dropped on a wrong plant full of aliens.
Guests all gone after 1 hour.
I got inspired, an International party with 80% Japanese won't work.
I care of every single VIP coming to my parties.
So we reviewed the ratio of nationality coming to our nabe party.

Think I am really interested in event management, will check if I can take this as an elective in UQ.
Defoe didn't trust numbers, but I looked at many ratios this time and trying to keep balances.
I worked out an equation to balance guys and girls which is quite funny.
I believe 1:1 is the best ratio for this, in order to keep balance
Total guests = 1 x guys invited + 0.70 x girls invited
Err... I don't know why 30% of girls always have reason not turing up.
Wahaha, guys rocks!

Theories are boring, I better talk about my philosophy hosting quality parties.
Always remember PEOPLE is the key!
Select your guests carefully, every single guest I invited are the people I spent time to understand their interest and background.
Eg. Invite Indian to a nabe party is not good idea.
Take care of every single guest u invited, from sending invitation, picking them up, keeping eye on their body lanaguage, thinking what they think, and etc.

People actually studies all these in Uni., I don't know much about event management.
But so far, I hosted very good quality house party twice.
Thats why I write this article on TMH, hope my experience can help u guys managing good parties.

Stupid uqconnect banned my ADSL account!

Stupid uqconnect banned my ADSL account for 10 days becoz I download "too much" on their most expensive unlimited download plan!
I am dying without internet.
They seem to be going to charge me hugh money for what they called "excessive usage".
Their office close on weekend, can't do anything...

Back to this friday, met some new jap friends Aki + Akiko + Akiko in Red Room UQ with Ken and Maya!
Aki is crazy at dancing and making friends.
Ya, the 2 Akiko(s) <- haha, primary english teacher didn't teach need 's' or not in this case!
They are going back Tokyo in 4 days, invited them to dance and sent them back to their hotel They stay in goodearth! I hv been staying there b4 when my uncle came last year, so I know the way.

I have been doing what a good man should do, oh! I am still a boy, mentally is!
Why? After sending them back, Maya and me got back to city Hungry Jacks to meet up Ken and Seiichi and we had a long chat about love.
Seiichi asked me who is the girl I like, a girl's image poped up on my mind.
My demon said, "Yes, that's the one, Defoe u knew this long time ago, hesitate is not ur style."
By the time I realize I still have many many stupid things to do, like... express love to someone Long Distance and Mission Impossible.
Defoe teach stat! P(getting the girl I fancy) = LD x MI = 0.00 x 0.00 = 0.0000
Anyway, I will try soon, making myself a choice for the girl I like should not be a bad thing.
People who have choices to love someone or not to love someone are very lucky.
Heard too many true stories, some people actually only have choices to love that one or to love that one more, and if they got rejected by that one, heartbreaking!
Defoe very scare of falling into this category.
Hmm... what is the best way to tell... by Phone? Love letter? SMS? or need some creative...
I am starting to type non-sense blog again, nvm.
U read the title-tle-tle, this is Tekifuku Mental Hospital-tal-tal!

Ahh... What am I doing...

Today woke up at don't know what time.
Got project meeting at 1:00 pm, rushed there, mobile phone didn't work, couldn't see my teammates. Sorry team!
The electronics always know me well, had problems when I didn't want to talk and when I didn't want to reply msg.
Stood on the Great Court, felt like dropping off from the Earth.
Everyone was busy doing something, except me, didn't know what I was doing...
I am losing my directions...

Got sms from Dave, asking for my help, urgent that kind.
Defoe get 30 hours a day, but he can only choose to die or work till die.
Aii... I need to idle, no more work please!
I don't want to end up in a mental hospital!

Made birthday flash for ryan.

Oh ya, forgot one thing.
I saw a shooting star around 4:00 am today.
Of course I made a wish, a happiness wish for one of my friend currently very busy doing her cram study somewhere far away.
I am satisfied!

Long Time No Blog

Last week's Defoe was kinda busy and antisocial.
Nothing memorable.
My mind changed, I don't enjoy studying in Australia anymore.
There is nothing wrong with Brisbane - this pradise - itself.
But this place give me a very lonely feeling nowadays.
Now I just want to speed up my degree, graduate earlier and go 3818.
Can't understand myself...

The meteor shower will still continue within these few days although the peak past already.
I will go somewhere at 4:00 am and try my luck.
Remember the last time watching meteor shower was on Deep Water Bay in Hong Kong with Chibistar(Ka Yan), seen them and made wishes.
The wishes came true finally, but that wasn't something I wanted anymore.
This time also got wishes, please let me spot some shooting stars, or at least one!

Marketing Case Study + Presentation

These weekend wasn't too productive.
I got the 7 days to prepare my presentation which worth 20% of this course.
Stressed me, omg, now I understand why no one choose the first few weeks to present.
We don't have enough perception to all those theory.
Anyway, I will do more reading and go for the others presentation to get some ideas how to do it.

A day with many feelings

Morning 7:30, I got the pc parts and fixed my desktop. Happy!
Noon 11:30, Dena's last min Mt. Coot-tha and then sent her to airport. Sad!
Afternoon 2:00, accounting lecture and tutorial. Bored!
Evening 5:30, back home and play Battlefield 2. Excited!
Night don't know what time, read yyy's blog knew that she passed her written driving test and homework all goes fine. Happy for her!
Night dinner time, didn't cook well. Embarrassing!

After so much mood fluctuation in a day, I don't have feeling now, not even sleepy even this is 3:40 now.

Programming...

Err... Story started from last night, I had some idea for my OnlineGameHK.com.
I did my testing on the real running server which I though I was doing it on the testing server.
The idea worked but need more work to get it run, and I deleted some old codes and cleaned up the 'testing' data...
Then I click on to the real one wanted to announce the new progress.
Omg! The site was down, then I realize the testing was done on the running server!
Ok, I decided to finish the new version since the work to recover everything are not less also.
The database and codes were extremly complicated!
The database is like 100,000 records big.
Those codes not hundred lines, not thousand lines, but 100+ thousand lines!
After 20 hours of PHP programming and MySQL Database design, the site worked again and had a new interface!

Think no body can belive these work can be done by a business student in 1 day.
I think my skill is much better than many computer engineers. Hahahaha!
No point studying IT~

Need a rest, 8:00 am lecture tomorrow.

01 August, 2005

So call a day...

This day started with 11:00 am Managerial Skills and Communication tutorial which was quite interesting to me.
After that I went UQ bus stop to find Dena for lunch in a Thai resturant on Hawken Drive.
About 1:00 pm I went into the 2nd hand bookshop in UQ, spent 1 hour there to get my textbooks.

My terriable day started from this point, the Quantitative Economics lecture was very boring and followed by the tutorial.
The good lunch, lecturer's mono tone and stats equations made me sleepy.
I was shaking my head to kept myself awake, the girl next to me didn't dare to look at me, must though the guy next to her had mental problem.

Back home, Ken cooked very good dinner, thx man!
Dena knocked on my house door, as promised I lend her my 'Bumpy!' for a night.
Hahaa yyy, does this make you jealous~
I actually did think of letting you drive when you where in Oz, but Ryan urge me not to.

A shocking news, the blog actually got people read!
So far, you are the only one reading my stupid blog, thanks yyy!
Oh! Pressure! Pressure!
